What to do in a demo...

Katie Gandolfo -

In a tutoring session with a student, you want to get the student as engaged as possible. Ask them about formulas. Make them do the steps. Demos are basically the opposite. The team member leading the demo will usually ask you to draw a shape on the screen. Then he or she will request that you perform some basic calculation. Finding the area of the shape or using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of an unknown side of a triangle are common requests. Just walk them through the steps of the problem. The goal is not to teach anyone—just to show the person on the other end of the demo how our app works.
