Notes about Rachel's session with Emily:
At the beginning of this session, Rachel does a really great job of using our triage techniques! She finds out from the student what she needs to do in her problem and what method the student thinks she can use to accomplish her goal. Emily says she wants to find the area and that she needs to do that by finding the length of each side and multiplying. Perfect!
Rachel helps Emily find the side lengths - encouraging her to write on the whiteboard to show the side lengths and to show her multiplications to find the area. Emily is working through the problem every step of the way!
